Fluid gains and controlling fluid seem are the hot QI topic these days.  With good cause!   This board has a lot of room for expansion (and more pictures) but I was getting used to using this big board again!  This board focuses on the 13ml/kg/min guideline that I can’t seem to stop hearing about.  We are making a valiant effort at our unit (everyone from PCC to MD) to talk with patients about how too much fluid = more dialysis time (which no one wants!)

If I were to do this board again, I think I would have done more “fluid control tips” and made that part more visually appealing.

As always, I love to share!  To be honest, most of these board (the people and skinny chicken legs) I cut out of paper so I don’t have a graphic file for them.

Please if you take a picture of your recreated board to showcase your efforts at your unit (aka Dietitian Connection meetings, etc…) please give the credit to KidneyGrub.com. I love sharing the boards and don’t have them copyrighted. But I also don’t want the any of the big dialysis companies claiming rights to them (in which case I couldn’t share).
