Initial consultation with your RD is $150 and then your customized program can range from $2000-$6000. More information on how to work with KNI here.
Yes, we want to know everything about your health history. Labs, medications, supplements, history, etc… We will send you a form once you’re in our patient portal so that you can provide this information.
Part of our standard procedure for our clients is reaching out to your doc via fax or phone call and informing them of our basic nutrition plan. If they would like to receive our nutrition notes from working with you, we provide our practice’s contact information.
We don’t accept insurance at this time. However we can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. You may use your HSA or FSA funds. We will give you a receipt of our services that you may submit for reimbursement.
Based on the nutrition strategy you personally need, your dietitian will recommend a course of action, including any tests and follow-up visits. Generally, patients commit to a 6-12 week program.
If you are interested in a meal plan, we have platforms for our patients that will customize a meal plan based on your specific nutritional needs and taste preferences. Your dietitian will work with you on this.
Not every patient needs supplements. Whether you will need them depends on your labs and health story. Your dietitian will discuss this with you in your 1:1 visits.

- We are proud to pioneer an oxalate-managed ketogenic diet for people with PKD at RISE Nutrition for PKD Program. We provide a 12 week program for people wishing to follow a ketogenic diet for help with PKD.
Patients that are already eating a plant-based diet and seeing improvement still benefit from "fine tuning" and analysis for potential nutrient deficiencies. People who are following a plant-based diet and NOT finding success will definitely benefit from our individualized nutrition approach.

All of our dietitians have extensive experience working with people with kidney disease, whether it be CKD, PKD or autoimmune kidney disease. We are a cooperative collection of renal dietitians and work together to help our patients reach their health goals.

It is never too late for nutrition to help! Those with very low GFRs benefit from a specialized very-low-protein diet (VLPD). This diet requires supplementation with ketoanalogues to ensure good nutrition and shouldn’t be undertaken without a renal dietitian. Our dietitians are quite skilled at helping patients implement VLPD nutrition strategy.
Most likely not. We specialize in helping kidney patients before dialysis, with the goal of avoiding or greatly delaying the start of dialysis or the need for transplant.
Most people on dialysis have a dietitian on their team. Our Kidney Health Community and Kidney Nutrition Answers course can help you better understand kidney nutrition and connect with others in the kidney space. We are happy to help coordinate care with dialysis dietitians for our 1:1 patients.
