Vitamin management is a broad area of research, with conflicting research and recommendations. This course focuses on 13 vitamins of significant importance to renal nutrition.
Each vitamin is presented with:
- A detailed look at biochemistry
- DRI and RDA for the vitamin and where that value came from
- What addition considerations are needed in a CKD patient
- What recommendation are made to treat deficiencies
- How vitamin interaction and patient history can alter recommendations for vitamin therapy
In addition, we look at renal vitamins, when to recommend them or not and their efficacy.
This is a whole-person approach to vitamin management.
